Booji is a mobile application available for Android and iOS devices (the “App”). Through this app, Booji LTD (“Booji”, “us”, “we”, “our”) provides an online platform that allows users to publicly display articles of clothing and fashion accessories (collectively, “items”), and offer to hire such items to other users.
To use this App and benefit from the services this App makes available, you will need to provide us with personal details and information. This Privacy Policy outlines what data we collect from you and what we do with it. General principle. We collect data from you for the sole purposes of:
Making your use of this App is possible;
Enhancing your user experience;
Ensuring this platform is a safe environment for all users.
SSL and HTTPS. Your connection to this App, and any data you transfer to us or that we transfer internally between our serves, are secured and safeguarded by an SSL certificate. SSL is a technology that uses encryption algorithms to scramble data transiting through this App. You can verify our SSL certification by noticing the HTTPS acronym within the web addresses associated to each page of this App.
Selling your data. We will never sell or attempt to sell the data you provide us. We guarantee that the data you trust us with will never be sold or shared as a commodity. We shall only use your data as a means to benefit you in respect to your use of this App.
Your rights. Please know that, at any time, you have the right to:
Amend or delete some of the data you have provided us;
Ask us to amend or delete some of the data you have provided us;
Ask us to provide you with a full list of the data we have related to your account.
Please note that we are only able to delete or amend information that is hosted on our servers. Therefore, due to the nature of the internet, information you have shared with other users through this App may remain publicly available should it have been shared or stored by other users on other platforms. Also, we may be unable to delete your data in circumstances where retaining your data is relevant to a legitimate legal interest for us.
Sharing your data. We work with third parties to provide the services that this App makes available. Such third parties include without limitation our payment services provider Stripe or the digital distribution platforms this App is available on (App Store and Google Play).
Your Payment information. You may have to provide us with credit/debit card details and Bank account or identity verification details for us to process payments and facilitate transactions you make with other users. We will send such details to Stripe. Please know your bank account and credit/debit card details are stored in an encrypted form.
Stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. We work with Stripe because Stripe makes use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security when processing data such as:
Encrypting all card numbers at rest with AES-256;
Storing decryption keys on separate machines;
None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist.
Separating the infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers form the hosting infrastructure;
Stripe does not share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services (API, website, etc.).
Your activity. We need to be able to track your activity on the App for us to provide certain features such as user popularity rankings, to pinpoint bugs that may occur when using this App, or to manage traffic more efficiently. We will track:
How much time you spend on each page of this App;
That way we can know if you got stuck somewhere and doublecheck this was not because of a disfunction occurring on the App.
Your number of “likes”, number of “requests”, number of “exchanges”, “rating”, and other indicators of your interaction with other users.
That way we can make sure we reward you if you are very popular, or that we warn you if it appears your activity is linked to any fraud.
